Torn purple

Life, as of now, is by far the most bittersweet thing I have ever had to go through.

Red is an anticipatory type of color to me that represents excitement and joy.
Blue is more of a down color that represents seriousness and maybe a little confusion, creating sorrow.

As for me, I'm a bit purple right now.

Leaving...
family
friends
comfort
english
church

Entering into...
marriage
missions
new language
culture shock

With the little time I have right now, I rarely get a chance to sit back and soak everything in. I try to, but I always feel like I should be doing something. If not for planning a wedding, then marriage prep homework. If not marriage prep homework then missions application. If not missions application then picking that one thing (there is always one more thing...) that I need to bring to Czech. If not picking up that one thing then there has to be somebody free to spend time with! If nobody is available then I will finish emails. If not emails then I could probably start packing... it continues.

None of this is bad, even though it's crazy busy. I am preparing for what God has brought into my life and therefore I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be doing these things!! I just want everybody to know that whatever it may look like from the way I look, sound or act like... I am processing so so much.

What I desire most right now is for my friends and family to let me in on their lives. What is happening with jobs, relationships, marriages, kids, how they feel about me moving, churches, ministries...

all of it.

More soon.

Emily...cooking... with an apron on?

Going through the motions, I think making a Thanksgiving dinner in Czech would look intensely different than in the States.

I think I'm okay with that...
